Immortals Patrol: Our patrol name is the Immortals.  We are having Joseph K work on our flag.  We will be talking about the upcoming patrol activity for this month.  One of the suggestions for our patrol activity is going to Aladdin's Palace in the Maplewood Mall. The people in my patrol are: Ignatius B., Ian B., Ian D., Galen D., Ryan J., Joseph K., and me, Darius. - Darius M, Patrol Leaader.

Pi Patrol: My patrol has a few options for its patrol activity. One option is to go bowling at Sun Ray Lanes.  The other option is to go to Battle Creek Rec Center and play Ultimate Frisbee or some other game in the field. What would you like to do?  This weekend was a campout at Fred C. Anderson Scout camp.  We stayed in the Peterson I cabin on the upper level.  Many of my patrol members attended; this was a very large campout. Members: Tyler E., John H., Regis H., Gideon K., Peter M., Joseph M., Noah M-R., Charles P., and Sal R. - Stephen K, Patrol Leader.

Infinite Sponges: This month was like the average month. We didn't have our campout yet. We are going to Fred C. Anderson which is usually fun. I can't wait to go on the camping trip. Members: Caleb Bu., Jonas Bu., Ben L., Danny M., Andy M., Calvin R., Adam S., Matthew S., Elliot W., - Desmond B, Patrol Leader.

activities

Spring Fundraiser: Troop 294 is having a spring fundraiser to help scouts earn camp credit selling Strudels – a frozen food product.  We are selling 6 strudels; apple, strawberry/rhubarb, banana chocolate, spinach-artichoke, strudel lorraine.  The scouts will get 30% for each strudel sold.  We will be selling them from March 9th - 27th.  We will also give out samples and sell the strudels after the masses on Sunday March 22nd.  More information as well as order forms and brochures can be found on the troop website or in the flyer attached. If you have not received an email in regards to the fundraiser, and/or you want to sign up to sell after the mass on the 22nd, please contact Rita S.

Scouting for Food is April 20th and 25th – Mark your calendar now for the annual Scouting for Food drive. We need scouts and their families and friends to come and help collect food for area food shelves. On Monday, April 20, in place of our regular Scout Meeting, we will be passing out bags in the assigned neighborhoods around the St. Pascal area. On Saturday April 25 we will retrace our route to pick up bags of food left on doorsteps. Adult Drivers are needed to escort the scouts in their assigned areas.

merit badges

Merit Badges: Check the Scout Handbook for MB requirements for advancement to Eagle Scout or follow the links on the troop website www.troop294.net for more info on specific merit badges and requirements.

Merit Badge Session 5: Hiking, Cycling and Chemistry will be offered. Cycling is a great preparation for this summer's High Adventure Trip. It is recommended that scouts take cycling merit badge if you are going on the bike trip this summer. Hiking or Cycling or Swimming can be used to would satisfy the requirement for Eagle. But if you have one of these three merit badges the other 2 do not count toward you required merit badges for Eagle.
