Youth Leadership Training on Aug 19th from 4 pm until 7 pm - Training for Scouts elected to leadership position at summer camp is Aug 19th. This will be at the Aeling's house in Oakdale. What do you want to do in Boy Scouts in 2007-2008?? - Come and help plan the year on August 19th from 7 to 8 pm. Scouts in leadership positions are expected to attend. All interested scouts are encouraged to come. This will be at the Aeling's house. Questions please call Ellen Aeling at (651) 738-9095.
Parents and Adult Leaders planning meeting on August 26th - Calling all parents and Adult leaders interested in taking helping Troop 294. After the scouts plan the year, the parents and adult leadership are invited to put together all the resources we have to carry out the youths' plan. Let's see what we have and what we are missing. The meeting will be on August 26th from 6 to 9 p.m. and will include dinner. We will make a meat and vegetable. Bring a salad or dessert to share. We will meet at the Aeling's house. All adult leadership and interested adults please let Ellen (651) 738-9095 know if you are coming.
The First Scout Meeting of the 2007-2008 Scout year will be September 10th in the school cafeteria.
St Pascal's Fall Festival - we need youth and families to help with kids games on September 23rd.
October Campout - The Fall Camporee October 5-7. Save this date! We will be camping at Lake Elmo Park Reserve. This will be a weekend filled with biking, archery and orienteering. The whole family is invited. This will be a fun weekend - come along! Questions please call Ellen Aeling at (651) 738-9095
Order of the Arrow (OA) Fall Conclave September 28-30 All OA members of the troop is invited - Congratulations to the scouts called out (nominated) to the Order of the Arrow at summer camp. All OA members are invited to convene the Fall Conclave on September 29 - Oct 1. Fellowship and service begins Friday at 6:00 pm with registration and continues cheerfully until Sunday morning. Chapter Adviser Michelle P. promises fellowship and service for any & all. All ordeal candidates and members of OA should have received information about the conclave in the mail. The Order of the Arrow is Scouting's National Honor Society, Its purpose is to: To recognize those Scout campers who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives, to develop and maintain camping traditions and spirit, to promote Scout camping, to crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others
