St. Pascal Men's Club Fish Fry Fridays - Starting Next Week! Another opportunity for Troop 294 to show our sponsoring organization our appreciation. The St. Pascal Men's Club holds their Fish Fry every Friday in Lent (February 8 thru March 14). Scouts are needed to bus tables; troop parents are needed to supervise the scouts and help bus tables or fill in as needed. Other family members are welcome to volunteer as well. Please plan ahead now to help. The March campout will have a 7 p.m. departure to allow all scouts to volunteer and still go camping! The St. Pascal Men's Club provides monetary support for our troop's activities. Please support their efforts in this fundraiser by volunteering and by bringing family and friends to the dinners.

Friends of Scouting Campaign "Friends of Scouting" (FOS) is the annual Boy Scout fundraiser, which directly sustains the year-round activities of the Northern Star Council which supports the volunteer leaders who deliver the scouting program to its youth members. Without FOS we would not be able to have all our great weekend campouts or weeklong summer camp. The presentation for the annual "Friends of Scouting" presentation was made at the Winter Court of Honor. We can still try for 100% participation - please turn in any donations to Ellen!

New Scout Recruitment: Now is the time to ask a friend to join Troop 294 - Recruit a new scout! Do you have a friend you think would have great a great time in Troop 294? Now is the best time to ask your friend to join!!! February is when the troop starts a new group of scouts. If you recruit a new scout (between now and the end of March) and they go to summer camp you will get a really cool recruiter patch. New youths must be in 5th grade or above.

Hello everyone It's Tyler again, just saying a few things before I leave my role as OA Rep. For all of you OA members that missed or couldn't make it to a training day, the lodge is having a 2008 OA Conclave deal in Kiwanis. So if you've missed yours, you can go to this one and still make up the rank. It is April 18-20. Ordeal Candidates will be checked in at 5:30 to 7:30 on Friday. You can come on Friday for the Brotherhood bash. There will be a cost for cracker barrel, breakfast, lunch and of course, dinner. Next on the list is the OA service project. We will be helping out the Museum of Scouting do an inventory of their patches. It will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m. Anyone that wishes to go, please contact either Mike or Ellen or the new OA Rep. The next item up is the Annual Winter Banquet which this year will be held at North Heights Church. It is on February 2 from 5:00 to 6:00. If you have not already registered and want to go, check with Mike or Ellen to see you can still register. -Tyler E, past OA Representative.
